Marshall Chase is the Director of Sustainability at Micron Technology, a world leader in innovative memory and storage semiconductor manufacturing. Marshall is responsible for driving the integration of environmental and social issues into the company's business strategy and operations, and leads engagement with investors, customers, and others on many of these issues. He guides the development of Micron’s scope 1, 2, and 3 climate goals, coordinated inaugural green and sustainable financing totaling nearly $5 billion, and contributes to industry-leading collaborations including the Semiconductor Climate Consortium. Prior to joining Micron in 2018, Marshall served as manufacturing industry practice leader at global sustainability consultancy BSR, where he worked closely with Micron and other companies to advance sustainability strategy and implementation. He has also run environmental programs for major real estate firms, led development strategy at the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the country of Togo.Marshall earned master’s degrees in Business Administration and Natural Resources through the University of Michigan’s Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Government and Environmental Policy from Dartmouth College.
